Reactive-absorptive mufflers - Model 343 and 353 industrial grade, all welded construction - dB Noise Reduction

Applications

  • Engine exhaust mufflers requiring substantial noise reduction
  • Intake and exhaust silencers on PD blowers operating above their critical speed
  • Compressor intake and exhaust silencers
  • Other applications where low frequency pulse control and high mid-upper band attenuation are both required

Design features

  • Multi-chamber reactive muffler section followed by an absorptive muffler section
  • Excellent noise reduction in all octave bands
  • Reactive section includes tuned chambers and perforated tubes to remove low frequency pulsations and noise
  • Absorptive section provided with an acoustic liner on Model 343 mufflers. Model 353 mufflers also include a center bullet
  • Acoustic media in absorptive section protected by high temperature cloth and 304 ss mesh liners
  • Custom designed and manufactured to meet the attenuation needs and pressure drop constraints of each application
  • End intake and exhaust, as well as side intake and exhaust connections available

Accessories

  • Mounting brackets, support legs, saddles and feet for muffler installation
